Background

Patterson River Secondary College opened as Seaford-Carrum High in 1968. In its first year, it was situated at the site at which Carrum Primary School is now located. In the 1990’s, the school merged with Bonbeach High School and Aspendale Technical School, becoming what is now known as Patterson River Secondary College. This history of merging diverse school settings lives strong today, with the school priding itself on being able to provide outstanding educational opportunities and outcomes to suit a range of student interests, pathways and abilities.

The school is situated on environmental and culturally significant lands, adjacent to the Kananook Creek and Seaford Wetlands.  Since becoming Patterson River Secondary College, the school has enjoyed considerable leadership stability. Prior to our current Principal, Daniel Dew (2016-current) the College was lead by Maree Vinocuroff (2000-2016).  We hope that you find this website informative.
