The Patterson River Secondary College Library sits at the heart of the school and is a vibrant hub of learning and connection.

Open throughout the entire school day – including before and after school, recess and lunchtime – the library provides a welcoming and flexible space for all students. We are constantly updating our collection based on student voice and recommended reads. Our extensive collection includes graphic novels, fiction, non-fiction and supports wide reading with students encouraged to borrow regularly.

Students also make use of the library for private study, research, printing and photocopying, regular lunchtime makerspace activities, and purchasing stationary items. During recreational times, the library becomes a calm and friendly environment where students can relax and read in our comfortable, dedicated reading space, complete homework, study, or enjoy a game of chess  and other activities with friends.

Our Library Team – Ms Yvonne Payne (Library Manager), Ms Patricia Bernardo (Teacher Librarian), and Ms Kristiarna Carson (Library Technician) – are always available to support students in accessing resources, providing engaging activities and making the most of everything the library has to offer.
