As part of our current $8million capital works program, we are building state of the art STEM facilities. Having engaged with leading STEM Architects, Taylor Oppenheim we are excited to see their experience with both John Monash Science Centre and Quantum Victoria come to life at Patterson River. As part of this build, we will be constructing two large maker space rooms for real life problem solving challenges along with a specialised robotics room. This facility will be operational in November 2021.
In July this year, we will open a new Food/Hospitality centre which includes two commercial grade food rooms, community dining room, canteen and outdoor kitchen gardens. This new centre has been built adjacent to our performing arts centre and VCAL Café, allowing for the ability to cater for large scale school and community events.
We pride ourselves on our collaborative and supportive workplace culture. Our College enjoys some of the strongest staff opinion survey results in the state as evidenced below.

Patterson River has a strong focus on Teaching & Learning. To support teachers, the majority of our staff meeting time is dedicated to instructional and assessment practices. In 2022, Patterson River will implement a more formalised approach to Professional Learning Communities (PLC). This will further enhance established practices as can be seen via our Staff Handbook 2021.
