Patterson River Secondary College offers a wide range of sports to all students across the year levels. We hold whole school carnivals in Swimming and Athletics and all students are invited to participate in the College cross country. Students are selected from these activities to represent the College at the district level.

In addition to these carnivals, students are encouraged to participate in a range of team events.

  • Year 7 students participate in timetabled Sport classes across the year and have the opportunity to be selected for interschool teams each term.
  • Year 8 students can elect to participate in interschool Sport each term
  • Year 9 and 10 students are part of Intermediate sport
  • Year 11 and 12 students are Senior Sport competitors

All year level sport compete in a round robin format competition, which leads into Southern Zone and State Finals. The College is part of the strong Northern District and competes against the other local schools on a regular basis.

With access to excellent local facilities, students can also participate in gymnastics, lifesaving, martial arts, circuit training, kayaking and sailing as part of the PE/Sport curriculum.
